The Dinosaur Song by Interplay
The song Christopher Smith, Sisu Raiken and John Jacobson perform in this video was totally improvised—the lyrics, melody, harmony and piano accompaniment were all created live before a live audience. The song is based on the audience's suggestion, "What happened to the dinosaur?"
This clip was recorded at the Tiffany Theater in Los Angeles, where the New York-based Interplay, the award-winning improvisational company Christopher was a member of, performed a series of shows. Interplay's director, Tamara Wilcox-Smith, was part of the workshop wherein improv impresario Del Close originally developed The Harold, an extended improvisational piece. The final act of every Interplay show was a Harold, and The Dinosaur Song was just one scene in that night's Harold.
